Sustainability
Sustainability starts with understanding our impact on society and the environment. Through continuous optimization and R&D, SYTS turns responsibility into measurable action.
Shaping Responsibility
from the Start of Industry
Sustainability is not a single declaration, but the sum of choices made across the entire lifecycle of materials—from selection and processing to long-term management. At SYTS, these considerations are embedded into real processes and operational structures that guide how natural leather exists within both industry and the environment.
This is the space to introduce the Project section. Take this opportunity to give visitors a brief overview of the types of projects they'll find featured in the showcase below. Consider adding an image or video to spark their interest.

The SYTS Approach
SYTS continually questions the role natural leather should play within industry and the environment. The answers take shape through our processes, management systems, and long-term operational frameworks.
01
Responsible Resource Utilization
SYTS has established systems to reuse resources generated during production. Treated wastewater is reused for cleaning and dust-collection systems, while by-products and waste from leather processing are managed through structured upcycling practices.

02
Transition to Eco-Conscious Processes
SYTS is steadily advancing eco-conscious leather manufacturing through continuous R&D. By adopting technologies such as vegetable tanning and zeolite-based processes, we reduce environmental impact while preserving material performance. Our efforts also extend to broader use of plant-based and naturally derived materials.

03
Development of
Nature-Conscious Materials
SYTS has researched and developed leather using natural loess (yellow ocher) as an alternative to synthetic coatings and holds patents related to this technology. These efforts reflect SYTS’s long-term direction toward materials development that considers both nature and the end user.

Building Trust Through Verified Global Standards
SYTS operates production systems that meet the certification standards of the Leather Working Group (LWG), an international organization evaluating environmental and social responsibility across the leather industry. Key areas—including energy and water use, wastewater treatment, waste management, and air and noise emissions—are managed in accordance with global standards and verified through audits and inspections conducted every two years. In addition, SYTS documents and tracks 100% of raw hide sources, ensuring traceability across the supply chain.
